Ben Ridley

Ben is an accomplished sustainability practitioner with a rare blend of over 30 years’ experience across environmental consulting, corporate ESG advisory, sustainable finance, and nature-related work. While he runs his own firm, Foresee Advisors, founded in 2025 after a tenure as Partner at ERM, Ben plays an integral role within the Seneca team on matters related to nature and biodiversity finance.

From 2008 to 2023, he served as Asia Pacific Head of Sustainability and later Head of ESG Financing & Advisory at Credit Suisse AG, where he led a regional mandate focused on nature and biodiversity. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2008, he ran a consulting firm and worked as a Senior Ecologist, advising on conservation strategy and project-level implementation.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, a Master’s in Environmental Management, micro-credentials in Ecosystem Restoration and Biodiversity Finance, as well as other financial qualifications. Ben is a long-standing member of WWF’s Conservation Committee in Hong Kong and was part of the inaugural Advisory Committee of the TNFD prior to its global launch. Ben is based in Hong Kong.
