The Global Islamic Finance Impact Program for Climate, Nature and Development (GIFIP) has been established as an independent legal entity, marking a major milestone in efforts to mobilize Islamic finance for sustainability. The program aims to channel significant capital into climate and nature-positive projects that deliver tangible benefits for communities across emerging and developing economies while aligning with principles that ensure inclusivity and long-term impact.
Seneca is proud to have contributed to the foundation of GIFIP alongside key partners WWF, Emirates Nature-WWF, HSBC Bank Middle East, Standard Chartered Saadiq Islamic, Securities Commission Malaysia, Simmons & Simmons, and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). Serving as a strategic and technical advisor, Seneca helped shape the program’s architecture and financial structure to ensure alignment with Islamic finance principles and measurable impact. Our work focused on creating a robust platform capable of attracting diverse stakeholders and scaling solutions where they are needed most.
Supporting GIFIP’s establishment reflects Seneca’s broader mission to unlock innovative financial pathways that enable nature and climate resilience at scale. Through initiatives like this, we aim to demonstrate that sustainability and finance can work together to deliver transformative results for people and the planet.
