Grace Hui

Grace Hui is the founder and CEO of Net Zero Asia Limited, a company focused on carbon asset development and carbon finance innovation. From 2013 until early 2022, Ms Hui was with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) during which she was a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of its Listing Division with direct responsibility for listing policies, structured products & fixed income, listing enforcement, primary market information and accounting affairs until early 2020 when she initiated and established a new business for HKEX in green and sustainable finance.

Prior to HKEX, Ms Hui was with UBS from 2001 to 2011 in various roles in Hong Kong and New York including Managing Director, Chief of Staff and Global Chief Operating Officer of its Legal & Compliance Department (a 750+ person global group). She advised UBS management on legal, regulatory, political, reputational and policy issues as well as operational risk and people management. Ms Hui also built and maintained regulatory relationships with key regulators such as Swiss Federal Banking Commission and Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Ms Hui is currently an independent non-executive director of Road King Infrastructure Limited, a company listed on HKEX. She is an honorary adviser to the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council and a member of its Inspection Committee and its Climate Action Task Force, she is a member of the Sustainability Committee of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants; a member of both the Finance Management Committee and the Global Centre for ESG Education and Research Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Management Association; and a member of the UK Directors’ Climate Forum (Chapter Zero). Ms Hui is an Adjunct Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Division of Environment and Sustainability. She graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences in 1994. From 1994-1996, and pursued her legal studies at BPP Law School in London. She is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong and in England & Wales.
