Stanley Tsai, CFA
Managing Director - Research and Investments
Stanley is Managing Director, Research and Investments at Seneca Impact Advisors, where he leads the firm’s work on structuring investment opportunities and developing financing strategies for complex, multi-stakeholder projects, integrating financial, environmental, and social considerations into the design of each initiative. He specializes in innovative finance, capital structure solutions, and asset allocation.
Stanley has over 20 years of research and advisory experience across the equities and fixed income space, with a focus on the financial services, real estate, and infrastructure sectors. From 2017 to 2021, he was Managing Director at CSPI Ratings, a credit rating agency servicing the USD bond issuance market. He also led the firm’s efforts in green finance, having written extensively on the green bond market for Chinese issuers. Prior to that, he held senior roles at DBS Bank’s fixed income origination desk, CLSA, Nighthawk Capital, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, and Fitch Ratings. He was an external advisor to WWF, supporting the organization’s efforts in originating and developing bankable nature solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
Stanley graduated from the University of British Columbia with an honours degree in Finance. He has been a CFA charterholder since 2004. He is a member of the Value Investing and Media Committees at the CFA Society of Hong Kong. Stanley is based in Hong Kong.
