Takuro Kimura

Advisor - Impact Investing and Japan

With over 35 years of experience in investments in Emerging Markets from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank Group, and the private sector, Takuro is a seasoned professional in Impact Investing and Private Equity with focuses on nature and biodiversity and on seed and early-stage companies in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.  He is also an Accredited Trainer of the Natural Capital for Business Decision-Making by Capitals Coalition and Social Value International (SVI).

Takuro founded G-Cubed Partners, Inc. in 2019, to support early-stage ventures creating impact in emerging markets by providing them with required financial and professional supports.  He is also the Co-Founder and Representative of the Japan Impact Investing Network (J-IIN), to connect entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem leaders in Japan and globally. Under his leadership, J-IIN has evolved into a recognized platform for advancing impact investing, with its focus increasingly expanding into nature and biodiversity alongside sustainability and ESG integration.

Through this work, Takuro engages with emerging themes by bringing together stakeholders who do not typically share the same platform. In addition to his network leadership, he advises corporates, investors, and mission-driven enterprises on unlocking opportunities at the intersection of finance, nature and biodiversity, technology, and policy. Takuro holds a law degree from Kyoto University and an MBA from HEC Paris.
