Tonya G. Mason, PhD

Sustainability and Impact Specialist

Tonya, as a Sustainability and Impact Specialist at Seneca Impact Advisors, focuses on developing impact frameworks and assessments prior to implementation. These assessments help us understand both the positive and negative outcomes of our advisory programs and projects, ultimately enhancing our overall proposition.

Prior to Seneca, she was a trained Environmental Epidemiologist at The University of Hong Kong with 7 years of experience developing scientific procedures to improve environmental awareness, reduce negative environmental impacts, and evaluate environmental policies. Her work has led her to publish in three peer-reviewed journals on topics relating to the health impacts resulting from exposure to air pollution.

Her passion for positive environmental change has inspired her to apply her expertise, knowledge, and skills recently to the sustainability field, where she has helped several clients measure, monitor, and disclose their sustainability efforts. Her specialties include data analysis, impact measurement and management, and GRI-compliant sustainability report content.

Tonya holds a PhD in Environmental Epidemiology, a master’s in Public Health and a bachelor’s in Environmental Sciences. Her professional development is further enhanced by expert certifications in Impact Measurement and Management of the SDGs, Sustainable Supply Chains, and Reporting with GRI Standards.
