Tze-wei Ng

Tze-wei is a private wealth lawyer with Stephenson Harwood’s Hong Kong office, and one of her practice focus is philanthropy and impact investing advisory and structuring. A former journalist and international NGO executive, Tze-wei brings deep sector and regional knowledge of social impact to her advice to private clients and charities. She was involved in the setting up of some of Hong Kong’s earliest social finance platforms and vehicles, and is engaged in the B Corps and ESG discussions in Hong Kong. She was a founding team member of Sustainable Finance Initiative, which aims at building a community of family offices and private investors in Asia who are active in impact investing.

She is also a board director of the Global Association of Impact Lawyers (GAIL), a growing community of lawyers who believe that the practice of law can bring positive impact on people and planet.She is an active working group member with the Hong Kong Green Finance Association. She has been ranked as a Rising Star in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 for Private Client and Family as well as a Rising Leader in the Private Client Global Elite directory since 2022.

Tze-wei received her BA in Law and Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and a Master of Journalism from the University of Hong Kong as well as a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School.
