CDx 2025: Our Engagement in Southeast Asia

CDx Summit 2025 – Bangkok: Seneca’s Continued Engagement in Southeast Asia

The CDx Summit 2025 took place on October 1–2 at the Radisson Blu Plaza in Bangkok, as part of Bangkok Climate Action Week. The event convened a diverse mix of corporate leaders, solution providers, and regional enablers for two days of structured exchange on credible decarbonization. Unlike traditional conferences, CDx used a “Fishbowl” format to foster open dialogue, with contributors seated at the center of the room and audience members invited to join the conversation as it unfolded.

Seneca Impact Advisors was represented by Jean-Marc Champagne, who contributed to two Fishbowl sessions: Nature-Based Solutions and Offsetting with Integrity and Unlocking Carbon Finance for Corporate Projects. These sessions explored how companies can integrate nature-based solutions and carbon finance into their decarbonization strategies, with a focus on credibility, stakeholder engagement, and long-term climate goals. The discussions were framed around learning objectives and designed to surface practical insights from both funders and implementers.

The summit emphasized regional relevance, with sessions tailored to Southeast Asia’s corporate landscape—including SMEs and first-movers. The venue layout supported the participatory ethos of the event, with no slide decks and minimal formal presentations. Contributors opened each session with short framing statements, and moderators guided the flow based on audience needs. This format created space for real-time learning and helped surface challenges and opportunities that companies face in turning climate pledges into action.

Beyond the sessions, CDx offered a platform for informal engagement and side meetings. The event closed with a continued call to action: to move from dialogue to delivery. Seneca has been a supporter of CDx since its launch in 2024 and continues to engage with the platform as it evolves. The Bangkok summit reinforced the value of structured exchange in advancing credible corporate climate action, and Seneca looks forward to contributing to future convenings and ongoing dialogue through the CDx Academy and regional programming. As part of its broader commitment to Southeast Asia, Seneca remains focused on enabling nature-positive finance and supporting regional efforts to scale climate solutions with integrity.
