Seneca Impact Advisors Adds Perspective to Nature-Based Solutions Report
Seneca Impact Advisors is proud to have contributed to the 2025 report, Nature-based Solutions in the Northern Metropolis: A Model for 21st-century Cities in Addressing Global Climate, published by The Nature Conservancy and Civic Exchange.
This report outlines a bold roadmap for integrating nature-based solutions (NbS) into Hong Kong’s urban planning, regional collaboration, and climate finance strategies. It positions the Northern Metropolis as a flagship opportunity to demonstrate how cities can harness thriving ecosystems for climate resilience and biodiversity.
Seneca Impact Advisors supported this initiative through strategic input and collaboration, particularly in the areas of conservation finance, policy integration, and stakeholder engagement. As part of the broader NbS community, the firm helped shape recommendations that call for:
- Embedding NbS into Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan and Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (BSAP)
- Advancing cross-border ecological connectivity with Shenzhen
- Scaling NbS implementation through innovative financing mechanisms, including blended finance and public-private partnerships
Nature-based solutions are not just about conservation—they are about building a future where people and nature thrive together. Seneca Impact Advisors’ involvement in this report reflects its ongoing commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship in the region.
