Project Scoping
Before beginning any project, it is imperative to understand a country’s economic and environmental dynamics. It is also important to understand a particular landscape together with its ecosystem risk and pressures and its investment needs and opportunities. In any landscape there are a variety of stakeholders with complementary and conflicting objectives who impact the landscape and who are impacted by it.
After key stakeholder engagement, it is important to analyse what kinds of projects are relevant to the landscape. Throughout this stage, we aim to link the project objectives with the needs of the landscape and determine whether it will provide an investable opportunity for private capital. Equally important is that the project is aligned with all relevant government policies. The environmental and social impact of the projects need to be fully understood and should align with the objectives of the various stakeholders.
